REGARDING A REQUEST FOR BODHISATTVA’S BLESSING
Caller: Sometimes we humbly ask Bodhisattva for blessings. But, does Bodhisattva constantly bless us, or, only when we ask him to?
Master Jun Hong Lu: When you ask Bodhisattva for blessings, actually many factors are at work. If your kindness, compassion, and your commitments, which are predestined, are all present, this is when the conditions are ripe. Bodhisattva will bless you and your prayer will be answered.
Caller: Right…
Master Jun Hong Lu: If, when you make a request to Bodhisattva, your heart is not pure or the purpose of your request is not rightful, your request will not be efficacious and you will not receive a blessing from Bodhisattva. This is because these things deter you from connecting with Bodhisattva’s energy field. These four things are different concepts: Being able to receive Bodhisattva’s blessing or not, requesting Bodhisattva’s blessing and being successfully blessed by Bodhisattva upon your humble request.
Caller: Oh, I understand. Thank you, Master Lu, for your kind teaching. I have finished asking questions. I hope that you remain in good health.
Master Jun Hong Lu: Thank you. Are you in contact with Xiao Jing or any other Buddhist friends?
Caller: Yes, I’m in contact with Ms Jing. I attend workshop in Germany.
Master Jun Hong Lu: Good, tell her that I might give them and the French team a Dharma talk via phone or other platforms.
Caller: Thank you, Master Lu.
Master Jun Hong Lu: Practise Buddhism diligently – you are clever. Promote Buddhism to others more frequently.
Caller: I will, Master Lu. I am planning to travel from Germany in March, next year, to meet you in Malaysia and Thailand.
Master Jun Hong Lu: You have to come and find me then, okay?
Caller: Okay, thank you, Master Lu.
Master Jun Hong Lu: Good, I especially like people who practise Buddhism diligently, okay?
Caller: Master, I hope that you remain healthy and live a long life.
Master Jun Hong Lu: Thank you. It is already midnight in Germany. You must be very diligent in your practice of Buddhism – I’m touched.

Nowadays, people live in others’ mouths and eyes. You let yourselves become more and more alone based on the ways others see you – you are afraid of what others might think about you. Many people care too much about others’ comments because they can’t put up with the scolding and criticism, so they become more and more depressed. We shouldn’t say things that shouldn’t be uttered.

修到不同的境界，身上會發出不同顏色的光
女聽眾：在香港法會的時候，有位現場的同修分享了一張相片，拍到全場佛友的身上都發著不同顏色的光。有同修發出來的光是白色的、黃色的，還有藍色、粉色的，還有的人身上發出很亮很亮的光。師父坐的位置是發出很多很大的金色的光，現場的同修白色的光特別多，其次就是粉色的。請問師父，這個光是不是說明每個人修的境界不同，所以說發出的光也不同？

女聽眾：我一直吃素，家裡人對我蠻有看法的，因為我們結婚，想生小孩子，家裡人說一直吃素的話，肯定對生孩子不利的。
台長答：誰說的，吃素的人生孩子比吃葷的人還快呢。你叫他去問醫生，都是醫生說的，鹼性體質生兒子，酸性體質生女兒
（我就跟他們講這個道理，吃葷的會殘害生命什麼，他們跟我說植物也是有生命的）
對啊，我告訴你啊，因為植物有生命，所以我們就可以吃有生命的動物了？哪有這種道理的？有生命的東西有五蘊的，植物屬於五蘊之外，不一樣的

A saint sees everyone in society as a saint; a bad person sees everyone as a bad person. Adjust your mentality and respect teachers and elders. You should always stay kind instead of taking the shortcomings of others to heart, otherwise you will find yourself dismayed every day. Some people hold grudges due to others' wrongdoings and faults, and this causes them constant distress. After a long time, this would act like viruses in a computer and cause your heart to break down.
